I would have to agree with that other guy - stealth those drives and it looks like an almost finished project. But, considering the red them, it looks like you'd need to paint that musketeer thing red....

 

also, what does the kanji on the side say? just curious

it doesnt matter what it says, it just looks cool j/k hope you know what it means...

dont like the "mess up" on the front... but the paint looks goo

 

i was thinking about painting thoses front drives.....i'll do it then

the kanji's are mainly about samurai, killing and fighting

i need to mod the psu and put some led into the opacified plexiglass behind the side kanji panel

 

I don't quite understand your front fan placement, it looks like that perspex pannel is offset to the right, as you look at it?

Looks good otherwise tho...

 

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everybody keeps saying that front perspex panel sucks!

Hey remember that it's YOUR case mod, so you are not forced to change what you've done just because someone says he doesn't like something....

Just my opinion....

 

yeah u're right, and i think that red drive will render best

and the panel suites me but it's true that almost everybody keeps saying it's ugly

unfortunately it seems the cd drive does not work anymore, got to buy a new one

 

that hercules sticker is to big

 

IMHO, that hercules sticker is perfect. But two questions: 1:you did remove the bezel of the cd drive before painting it right?! and 2: when are you going to fix that perspex? It'll looks so sweet once it's fixed.

 

yep i retired the bezel it but it's an old drive...at each boot the mobo hangs like 40 sec on : detecting ide drives....and the drive won't open either....o its ok

but what do you see for that perspex? i have no clue on how to fix it, maybe make a panel thats not on the right or the left that would include the activity leds.....

i'm open to any suggestion

 

Easy. Make the panel stretch across the full front, then hide the activity leds above the panel, so that they shine down.

 

You could have the perspex the whole width and fiberoptic the activity LEDs through to the front

 

yes going to make it all the front lengh, as to the leds i still dont know.
but my drive was not broken just the bezel was not porperly reinserted (it prevented the drive to operate) so i have bought a new drive for nothing
