That's not entirely true. They changed it because they didn't like it either and felt it was wrong for their character. They already had plans to change it. The mistake was the initial response to the forum thread which didn't explain any of that and just said 'yes, we'll change it'.

The new pose suits Tracer much better and, by the sounds of it, would have been changed to whether that thread existed or not. Blizzard is still making Blizzard's game exactly how Blizzard wants to make it.

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not on the side of the guy who originally complained. I think he has some issues distinguishing between how he see's something and how it's being presented).
