Pop it, take off all the skin, dump foot in vinegar all whilst filming = instant youtube millionaire! (maybe :worried: )

Seriously though, I get a lot of blisters (there's some bizarre condition with my feet, all I get from Doctors after 25 years is a shrug ) and I always do a pop as described by Lance using a sterilised needle and then a simple blister plaster with a small dab of Savlon on it. Works every time.

In the sprite of bit-tech this should be modded with a dremel, so find an engraving bit and mash it up!

    lol!

Drink the fluid from the blister and I'll give you rep.

As a military bloke, I can highly recommend zinc oxide tape for blister prevention, or for covering blisters if you have to wear the footwear again that caused the blisters in the first place. There's also a 'spray on skin' from 3M that, should the blister burst and the skin become loose, will create a protective barrier and prevent infection developing inside sweaty boots, which you then zinc oxide tape over while you're wearing the offending footwear and remove when you're not to let the skin breathe.

Popped! Had to cut it with some nail scissors so that the fluid could actually get out!

Going to leave it without a cover for a few hours to try and dry it out a bit.

Seconding this. If you don't have zinc oxide tape handy you can mimic it with a little dab of antibiotic ointment and something to cover the area. Bandaid, moleskin, duct tape... Keeps the skin from rubbing and making things worse.

I have some "wound" dressings and tape plus some antibacterial cream.

I will get some proper stuff tomorrow morning.

I used to get blisters constantly from playing 5-a-side football. I tried all sorts to prevent them and gave some metasox a try. I don't know what it is about the sock but they are about the only thing I can wear for football and end up with 0 blisters. You can buy normal sock size ones so you don't have to buy the football sock length ones but I'd highly recommend them if you think this might be something you'll start to suffer from.

...That's about as close as to sterilisation as throwing it on the floor. Next time, boiling water for a minute, or some vodka.

My usual sterilising method is heating it up 'til it glows. Or meths. Or both. But once it's cooled down...

Yeah, heating up works if the item will take the flame without being damaged.

My preferred method is an autoclave, but is pretty hard to do outside a hospital.
