Wouldn't help much with the wifi, what with only having cheap g(?) maybe n cards in the PCs...
...but it is something I would like to do, but the powerline is a good first step - pretty much tripling my dl speed!

This is what I should be getting - in fact I should be getting more, since I was upgraded to 200Mbit after I did this test.

This is what I've been getting all week:

Apparently it'll be like this - slow, spotty, intermittent, most sites not working, etc - until the 1st April. That's 12 days it'll have been like this.

The worst part? My phone can hit ~4Mbit with a p***-poor signal on HSDPA, not even 4G

Work (cant say the company clue may be in the ISP though) This is a filtered connection, about 3000 desktops here all with about the same bandwidth. If I cant get on a server later ill run it from the dedicated connection

Ill edit with my home one later

Zen FTTC - Promised minimum speeds were 38Mbps Down and 9.5Mbps Up

Since Openreach replaced all my internal wiring it's been a very stable and consistent connection.

I'm surprised I haven't done this yet despite having been at uni for two years already.

Cabinet we are connected to has FTTC but there are no available lines and BT are dragging their heels about when they will add more...

Houses being built behind ours (we are phase 2.5 on the development) were reclassified as a separate development (phase 3) and as such fall under the new legislation that developments of 30 houses or more have to have FTTH and will get 300Mb/s.

Old house had 80Mb/s on infinity 2 :waah::waah:

Well, two years after signing up things have degraded somewhat.

Still a lot faster than my old ADSL line, but it looks like the cabinet is getting full to capacity. Boo-hiss.
