I think you should realy consider doing that laminate thing mentioned earlier in the thread (after whatever wood replacement you need to do)... it would make it look realy sweet.
All they left was a hacksaw and a 14.4k modem... I am sorry to hear that... I wish that you could catch the jerks and do a little case mod on thier craniums w/ a 3kilo sledge...
Yeah, if i would have caught them, someone would have gotten hurt! Anyway... I Promis I will either stain or do something esle to finnish the case when it is ready! It will not stay like this. Just gotta get some more things worked out. And that will take...uh..ya know..a while. Right now I am trying to render it in TrueSpace3 to see if I can get a feel for my options and placement of CD-ROM; however I have never used the program, and I am having to learn as I go. More updates are comming...soon!
I thought I would help Mr. Red out and post a more up-to-date image of his PC. (Too bad it isn't powered-on though)
That is beautiful. The best thing about it is that it looks all old school but it can be a BEAST underneath! Great stealth case!
WOW...That looks so awsome, what ever happened to Big Red...Zap, where has he been, and thanks for the update, it looks so awsome...
oh WOW, that is awesome, now you just need to put one more finishing touch on there, paint the keys a nice medium to dark tan, and it'll look perfect.
Wow, that is cool. I agree that changing the color of the keys would look cool, maybe just find a black keyboard? It'd sure look better than white keys. The mouse too should get some work, maybe paint on a wood patern? Or paint it dark tan/black? L J
Hey guys, sorry for not updating. I have been working on it so much, I havent made myself sit down and update. I have been having a hard time getting good pictures with the camera I got right now too. That is a pic Zap took at TXGF (thanks Zap). Right now I am working on getting the Audio circuit operating correctly. Hopefully I can get some pictures uploaded Monday and I will get everyone up-to-date. Zogthetroll-Yeah, I have looked at ways to do that. I found a place that sells wooden keyboards, but at US$500 I said no thankyou. Might have to just build it myself!
You know what would rock? A trackball mounted on/near the keyboard Great work, I bet you'll soon be a full-rival of Zap!
Nice case man. I really like how you ended up doing the speakers with the retro radio look. It all really looks good. Also, good job with the electronics. Although as a friend of Zap's I don't guess you can be all that bad with a soldering iron. Good Job
Looks good, but what are the actual demensions? perhabs a smaller keyboard would have been wiser, but just my .02. You wouldn't have had so much room that way, so I guess its all just what you want.
Umm, if you see the insides of his box, there is zero room inside. He had to remove some of the PCI slots from off his motherboard in order to get the graphics card to fit with his riser.
