Project Interceptor - Interactive Modding!!

Nothing huge to report, but....I added HD rails to the DVD drive and slid it in.

 

so far the case looks great!

 

I love this case! You can probably apply the official crest of your regional police department on there as well.

 

Is it just me, or is that DVD drive not... white enough? It seems dirty almost... I suggest painting it if you weren't already going to.

 

The center pic in post 163 shows the handcuff openings very well. Looks great! I think with all you've planned it's gonna be awesome. Can't wait to see it with the lights!

 

The case looks good! But if I were you, I really had stealthed that DVD Drive.

I'm looking forward to your next update.

 

Stealth the dvd making some sort of bars like you have done infront of the fans All 4 bays should be behind bars (maybe 3 depending on how hard it is to stealth with that idea

Also I would like some more lightning behind the cuff/grill/fans Instead of purple & blue I would use white. Same could go with the bay bars lightning behind those. You almost need to create som sort of optical illusion there GL

 

Sorry, for the delay on the lightbar. It's coming from Canada and has to pass through customs.

 

WOW, just stumbled back on this project... It has come a long way!
Love the Interceptor emblem too, looks great!

 

Maybe it would have made it through customs faster if you had them turn it on before they shipped it.

 

The lightbar has arrived!!



The LED's inside the clear lens are Amber and White. I am painting the Amber side of the lens Red and the White side blue.



The yellow wire on a 4-Pin Molex is enough for the lights. I'm blanking on how much voltage the yellow one has....

 

the yellow wire has +12 volts i believe.

 

I painted the lights and recorded a video of it. Turn up your sound and you can hear my daughter begging for a drink.

This is looking great! I like the cop theme, and I really like the interactive modding!

I agree, need something more on the drive bays. Otherwise, looks good - keep up the good work

 

Hmmm, maybe there's a way to work a push-bar in the front somehow.

I thought about adding them to the front of the white drive bays, but I'm still boucing the idea around a bit. Good idea for a poll. What do you all think?

1. Yes to pushbars on drive bays

2. Yes to pushbars somewhere else
