    hi guys,

so I've been a long time reader (and member) but I never ever post. I mainly read the site for gaming news if Im honest.

But the day has come, so, Im totally looking to buy a new computer, some kind of powerful beast that will play all my games, has a super huge hard drive and is generally awesome.

The issue is, Im totally useless at modern day specs, a good place to go buy a machine, and I wouldnt trust myself to build it, so ideally, I'd like to buy it premade.

My budget is circa. £1000 for the tower with THE POWER. Apologies for my pun there.

Any tips where to go what to get as some kind of graphical gameplaying powerhouse beast machine ?

Oh sorry, also I forgot to add this in -

    Budget: £1000
Main uses of intended build: Gaming
Parts required: Everything except mouse, keyboard and monitor
Previous build information (list details of parts): N/A
Monitor resolution: 1920x1080 (at least if not better!)
    Storage requirements: 2TB
Will you be overclocking: Dont really know how ?
Any motherboard requirements (no. of USB, Xfire/SLI, fan headers): No requirements
Extra information about desired system: I want to buy the system pre built as Im an idiot and cant make things.

    Thanks a lot,

    Dave

P.S. if it had a couple of HDMI outs that would be super awesome so I could connect it to my TV.

    forum heuristics

wouldn't be that hard to just detect a couple of keywords and make the forum auto post it as well. even show a warning before the user posts using javascript magic.

"the post you are about to submit might be related to this <link>"

Hi Lance, but the thing is, I wouldnt want to build it, I want to buy it prebuilt, so do you have any other ideas there ?

    Thanks,

    Dave

where do you live? hard for us to point you to any retailer/e-tailer if we don't know where you would be ordering your stuff.

Scan has prebuilt machines. and I know several component e-tailers that also can build a computer for you for a fee. You have full freedom of components. They just put it together for you. Or you can pick from their kits.

edit: then there is also Alienware and other boutique brands.

PC specialist build a PC for a friend of mine and he based it on the Bit-Tech list above, but actually put it into their cheapest case. And I was actually really impressed, small, and didn't die of Lan Death in the heat.

Also the 560 ti (and I believe the 570) has a HDMI output on it :)

Scan's builds seem pretty good, but I'm losing faith in them as a company. You could probably choose all your parts and then get a local tech guy to put all the bits together for £50 (especially if you can find a student :D) - best of both worlds!

Thanks a lot for the assistance guys,

Or maybe tell people what part of the country you're in and perhaps someone here would offer their services for a fee, as happened when I first joined up to build one (not that he delivered on the offer though lol - you know who you are!:p )

Scan or YoYoTech would probably be the best bet. The YoYoTech Warnird had a decent review in Custom PC a while ago. Can't really see a reason for newer version to be worse. 3XS systems from scan are good as well :)

EDIT: Spotted a typo for Warbird reading Warnird, but i think i like it better lol

I pretty much used the custom builder on Yoyotech and added everything I wanted bar the keyboard/mouse and some extras and it cost more for parts than where I'm buying all mine from.

Instead of buying from more than one retailer I'm using just the one. And the main reason for that is they have everything in stock for delivery. Plus I'm buying a generic 570 instead of a pre overclocked version.
