Why Nokia? They don't even have a market in Japan, which is huge.

"Despite competition from rivals, Nokia is still the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer"

Not even a Atom CPU will make Symbian any fun to use.

Personally I prefer Symbian, WM crapped out on me too many times while Symbian was always faster and more reliable. Personally I also don't like Intel entering this market, i can see nothing but problems with that. Intel doesn't have anything that will push this market forward, they just pursue their dream of being a monopolist in every area they touch. ARM is far more suited for mobile phones.
