    Hello,

Just a quick one really, does anyone have a Fractal Design Define Mini case and if so, is there enough room for an H100 cooler?

    Thank you in advance,
    Sam.

Nope, Not enough space for the H100 without some modding.

    H60 fits fine though.

Ah okay, thank you for a quick response. I don't suppose you have a picture of the inside of yours with the H60 in do you? Don't go out of your way if you haven't!

Remove HDD bays, they either screw off or are held on by 4 rivets and then you can fit it at the front.

Have you thought about getting the fractal arc mini, the H100 fits perfectly

Also looks like there might be enough room on the roof if you mod it slightly

    /this

Use an external ODD and install the HDDs in the 5.1/4" bays instead. This will significantly improve airflow and allow for a 240mm rad in the front if you're looking for watercooling.

I was going to go for the Arc. However someone told me that it is a much louder case than the define mini...

I guess it all comes down to the fans you use in it. I am using an Arc Midi and when using the stock fans, I found it to be quieter than the Antec 300 I replaced. If you are used to the quietness of an Define model then it will surely be louder but for me, it was suitably quiet.

it is true its louder then the R3 mini but not by much. If you use a fan controller its hardly noticeable.

Edit: Also stay away from the Corsair coolers at the moment as they are having noise issue with the pump making grinding noises i have had to get 3 H80s exchanged as they were all making loud noises. I checked the corsairs forum website and they have admitted to the pumps on the H60, H80- and H100 having issues and they have started taking replacing them with a new batch but nothing has hit the retailers yet. I ended up going with the Antec Khuler H2O 920 it ended up actually cooling my CPU better then the H80

Thanks for letting us know. I'm probably not going to get a new build until the next mid-range GPU's come out anyway.

I'm on air with a Gelid Tranquilo using the stock fan. I have the stock 140mm Fractals in the back and rear roof slots as well as two 140mm Akasa Apache fans in the front running at 5v using this.

I'm not sure it's worth spending money on the Apaches to then limit them like this but my system is quiet.
