    Yes, Z97 officially supports booting from NVME drives, so no problem.
    But the m.2 slot on your mainboard is limited in speed, so a fast drive would just go to waste and you'll need a pci-e to m.2 adapter like the one you linked to in order to take full advantage of the drive regardless of the mainboards official support.
