Can one submerge a remote control?
If so, does anyone know what the max temperature for a remote is?

Was it really necessary to use your fifth ever post to revive a two year old thread? Could you not have made a new thread in hardware?

The answer is, probably, but I'd unscrew it and remove the circuit board and any other electronics before doing so. Water does not generally cause PCBs a problem but it will be easier to dry out if you remove the innards first.

    I'm sorry. I thought since it's a guide, date doesn't matter.
I planned to put it in the oven at around 40-50° C.

You don't need to apologise to me - it's the mods you must fear!

If I were you I'd start all over again with a fresh post in here, and lots of nice techy people will rush in to answer your questions correctly :)

We use an anti-static foam spray and clean hand towel, this works really well.
