    Hi guys&gals i wonder if someone would be kind enough to help me please...
    I want to Secure Erase my OCZ vertex 3 with the OCZ Toolbox
    please could someone post a step by step guide on how i do this please . im mentally exhausted & completely lost atm
    Been going out of my head with HDDERASE & Parted Magic :wallbash: "im not very Tech Savvy"
    would very much appreciate your time to post, thx in advance
    btw i do have a HDD also

    You have 2 methods available to you:

    1. If you aren't using your SSD as a boot drive. You can simply go into the the latest version of OCZ Toolbox, select your ssd in the first screen, go to the Secure Erase tab and hit secure erase. It will ask if you're sure etc. Say Yes. Should take approx 30secs at which point you're done.

    2. If you are using your SSD as a boot drive. You either need to connect it to another operating system and follow method 1 or use LINUX Bootable Parted Magic.

    note: make sure your ssd is in AHCI mode in Bios.
