    Looks like a rather nifty low to mid range air cooler.

    I've always wondered why they don't just fill the spaces up with solder, which on the face of it would seem a much better solution than getting filled with paste - which is what will happen. It could still be direct contact on the flat parts of the heatpipes, and you'd get extra conductivity through the solder to the 'sides' of the pipes.

    If I ever got one of these types of cooler I'd probably try it - though there may need to be some tweaking of the gaps between the pipes for the best solution.
