Guys can you help me out, I am struggling to find any water blocks for a R9 290. It seems like the GPU blocks have vanished. I was looking for EK full water block preferably a Acetal/Copper but everything is nickel based. What has changed so much over the past year with water blocks

Nothing - its just an old card now. They only do limited production runs because they absolutely have to sell every piece.

Could be the case, but then they'd move onto making them - could you buy a 390 block instead?

I have 3 watercooled 290s which I am pulling out for to sell for my next build, so there may be some coolers on the market soon ;) :D

Well I've looked on here and as you can see on this model (if you scroll to the bottom of the info) its compatible with a reference R290

The full list of stock for you cards is on this list

    Hope that helps.

I don't reckon that's too bad for a decent block, personally! It is in Euro too, remember.

(Perhaps I'm just daft. I just imported a Titan X Hydro Copper block from the US)

I also think £90 is a fair price for a quality waterblock, but if you can get hold of a 2nd hand one then you should make a good saving.

I was also very tempted by the hydro copper blocks (I have 2 x EK Titan X's) and nearly bought those blocks - they didn't have any in stock at the time I ordered, so went for EK ones. Wish I'd bought these ones though. Best looking blocks I have seen. The amount of times I've nearly clicked buy even though I dont 'need' them.

Man they're good looking blocks. I got obsessed with the HC block so had to have it! I've got an aquacomputer glass one for my original titan (this one I think) - I love those too!

I can't really say, it'll be the next free weekend I get to work on it, I just don't know when that is, I started the other day but life gets in the way.

Those coolers above look good and that is the going rate for a new full cover block for most GPUs, my EK R290 FC blocks were £90 a piece.

i had this problem close to a year ago getting a water block. Ended up getting a kraken g10 bracket and using an aio unit with the gelid enhancement kit.

Not a solution for yourself maybe but, possibly worth a look
