Several firsts for me here... First watercooled build, first worklog, first new thread at Bit-Tech even. I've been reading for quite a while though, so I'm pretty sure I have all my stuff straight as far as the w/c stuff goes.

    On with the pics!

    Helo thar DangerDen RBX waterblock.

DangerDen GFX block, black of course.

    Bay reservoir.

Eheim pump, bigger than I thought

Radiator, with shroud and aluminum fan.

    Case, dissected.

Pile of parts, minus video card (NewEgg sent the wrong one, gg.)

P4 2.8c, IC7-MAX3. Should be decent overclocking pair.

Mounting radiator in the case. Of course, this will leave only one 5 1/4 bay open

Radiator mounted, solid as a rock. I can pick up the entire case with it. It's not going anywhere.

    Just enough clearance here...

Outside of the case, with the front on. The top has been masked off, as a breathing hole will need to be cut for the radiator. Design pending.

Approximate pump location, I haven't decided for sure whether to mount it this way, or turn it around so I can get it closer to the drive cage that goes up front there.

Apparently I'm the master of blurry pictures, this is my workspace (parents' garage). I know, I know, but I don't have enough room in my apartment for this.

Rest of garage. Yes, it's that big. There's a storage area above the workbench also.

The end, until this weekend. Expect an update.

Looking great there Whizzleteets. I know how it is trying to fit a watercooling rig into a PC60... :sigh: Unfortunatly I couldn't spare the 5.25 bays, so I removed the lower drive cage entirely, removed the mounts and rivets, and stuck my BIX right under the 3.5 bay. I considered doing it the same way you are, but I really wanted those bays. Looking great!

I assume you are going to use those nice hoseclamps I see in the background in your pics on the waterblocks? Just something to keep in mind to help prevent those pesky leaks.

Keep up the good work, I'll be checking in on this project as it develops.

OneMadPopTart...your PC is almost like mine...only with a step up on every single component :sigh:

This is looking good, I have a PC6070 I'll be putting a watercooling system in, so this is like a preview for me. I was going to go with the DangerDen system as well.

    Most importantly, g/l h/f :dremel:

Well, I was thinking of using them, but after I had the system all put together and the clamps tightened, I realized that they just don't all fit well on the RBX; the barbs are too close together. The clamp on the middle barb was cutting into the hose on both outside barbs. :grr:

So, in the meantime, I've decided to use zip ties. They're smaller, and I think they look better, personally. We'll see how the leak test goes this weekend.

Not true! I've got the same exact RBX and the same exact hoseclamps seen in the picture. You just have to adjust them so they dont interact with each other. I would really suggest not using zip-ties because they are fairly narrow and put a lot more stress on the tubing than you would thing. I also thing those nice industrial ones look rather pimpin' hanging off the RBX.

I set mine up with the screws on the outlet barbs facing away from eachother along the axis of the RBX (the long direction, the way water would flow), with the middle input facing up (or down...your choice). They work, Trust me.

Looking good man. :D I remember putting my watercooling in my PC61, that was a pain cause I stuck my rad in the front and lost most of my 3.5" bays... kinda wish i had them still now that i have 4 hdds in there :x

looks sweet, got any plans for windows or anything else?

oh, shame about that P4 :p

I'm leaving that up to the guy I'm building for, although I'm 99.999992% positive he's going to want some fancy windows or lighting after he sees it.

Here's a small update, with a question... where to mount the pump?

    Here,
    [IMG]

    or here?

I want to keep the removable HD rack useable...

Oh, and the pump will be powered by a CritiCool PCI relay card. Pretty sweet little device if you ask me. :D

oh!! that's looking like i'm hoping mine will.
a couple of questions would really help me out though...

    What radiator is that?
how much rook do you have from the radiator to the front of the case, could you fit a cd drive? i want to put the rad up top, but have to have room for 2cd drives,a dna my sound blaster audigy platinum.

Thanks alot, your post has already been a huge help, I wasn't sure if i could fit a heatercore in the top of the case.

    nice setup

i think you should mount the pump like it is shown in the second picture because of the hdd-cage

Couldn't you put the pump IN the floppy cage? Maybe with a 80mm fan (if it'll fit) towards the front to help cool the pump?? That way you wouldn't lose any PCI slots, and your cabling would be shorter/neater? :naughty:

    Just a thought... :cooldude:

    Looks good!

One thing. Won't the tubing from the pump foul on the GFX card?

That is a DangerDen heatercore with their plexiglass shroud, and an Evercool 120mm aluminum fan. Unfortunately, there isn't enough room to have 3 drive bays open up top, unless your Audigy is shorter than a regular optical drive. I'll put the CDRW/DVD drive I have in there tomorrow for size reference.

Also, the tubing from the pump doesn't interfere with the GFX card at all. The reason you don't see it in there is because NewEgg sent the wrong card, so I'm still waiting for the replacement. It'll be watercooled also.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, expect another update tomorrow.

Position two was nice, but the idea of stuffing the pump in the 3 1/2 cage is good.

Yep, it's the 1250. I'm hoping it gives ample flow rate for the RBX.
