Quick question for you guys. I have sat in my PC atm, a DFI MI P55-T36 ITX board, and it's great, apart from the fact that the USB ports are temperamental at best, and they have a hatred for all WiFi USB adapters. So I'm RMAing it to SCAN and I can hopefully get another board, which are: - Zotac H55ITX-A-E - Gigabyte GA-H55N USB3 - Intel BOXDH57JG The Point Of View ITX board, is from what I can gather , pretty much the Intel board. So, what's the verdict? Which one should I go for? I'm tempted by the Zotac one, pretty much for the SATA ports and built in WiFi. Thanks.
Hey Mars, I've got the Zotac board....love it! Using it with Intel I3, 4GB cheap RAM & 1TB HDD in custom case. running vista 64bt & XBMC for media playback. It hasn't faltered once Given the choice i'd go for it
If you are using a cpu with Turbo Boost, this feature may not work on some Zotac H55ITX-A-E boards, I believe it was fixed in the newer revision H55ITX-C-E. Also, the H55ITX-A-E had compatibility issues with pci-e x1 cards like TV tuners. I personally prefer the Gigabyte, but if you need WiFi, then go for the Zotac.
Right, breif question again >.< I've decided I'm going to try and get SCAN to give me the Gigabyte board instead of another DFI board from my RMA. And as Bindi said, the Gigabyte for OC'ing. I've read the review of this board, and saw you got an i5-750 to 4.4Ghz. AWESOME! Thing is, I didn't see/couldn't find if you'd teseted with an i7-860 (or similar). And of course I understand that YMMV, but I'm wondering if 4Ghz will be achievable? I know that my CPU can do this, as the guy I bought it off had it at 4.3Ghz. So, what do you guys think? Is a 4Ghz OC attainable? ************************************************************** Just been to the XS forums.. Someones hit 5Ghz, with an 870 on the Gigabyte board. On air I believe, or maybe watercooling, pretty sure there was no LN2 involved.
Sorry to add this in if its irrelavant but didnt the Gigabyte have issues with the graphics card slot on it ? I might be wrong tho Just thought you might want to be aware of this if you are using a gpu.
Yeah, just re-read the review of it. According to the BT article there's something amiss with the connection. But from looking at the review table, it seemed pretty in the middle :/
