Windows Will BF2 Work Good On A Geforce 6600GT AGP?

The title says it all. My card is a eVGA e-GeForce 6600GT AGP 8x video card, will it work fine with good graphics? I have 2 gigabytes of CORSAIR XMS ram, and a 3.0GHz processor. Again, will my card work fine without any sore eyes of bad graphics?

Oh, and is BF2 worth buying if only lanning with me and another dude? (no online here, lan only)

 

it should run fine and the 2 gigs of ram should help alot, but I'm not sure if its worth getting since all you are going to do is lan and there will only be 2 of you

 

Yeah, I thought that too, its just theres no damn cable/dsl internet service in my area at the moment because they wont set it up, so Im stuck on ****** dial-up and cant play online well with dial-up bc of horrible lag.

 

It runs fine on my r9700 pro at reasonable detail so you should be ok

 

Yer that setup will run it fine, I was using it in 1280x1024 all graphics in medium and it was fine (still looks good too), had a little bit of slowdown when the map caching at the start but 2 gig of xms will sort that out.

That game is seriously the nuts, buy it, lan it with your mate and some bots then maybe get a few other gamers round some time.

 

i ran it at medium settings with 1gb ram,3400cpu and a 9800pro @ 1280x1024
yours should run it well

 

A quick suggestion for LAN play in BF2 as there are no multiplayer bots. To play multiplayer and have bots in the game, have someone start a single player game and then the others manually connect to the IP. The server won't broadcast an IP.

There are some mods but I've never looked into them.

 

Ran low settings on my 5500oc and it ran pretty well. good luck

 

Packing a Gigabyte 6600GT...

Got my BF2 setting medium and a few other thing son high....drawdistance ...dam near the top..

P4 3.3 1gig ram....

RUNS SWEEEET

 

i run it at HIGH+2xAA on my 9800XT....works fine, 6600GT should be around the same performance.
