Windows Witcher 3 sound issue

I decided to load up my either save today but there is no voice on the cut scenes. Every other sound is there but not this. I have looked around Google but nothing there has worked or is relevant.

This is on a new PC that I haven't played the game on before.

Any ideas?

I had this with a game I was playing, I have 5.1 surround and one of my speaker connections was in the wrong port.

Probably not your issue but worth a look if u have a surround system.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. I am experiencing the issue with headphones, sorry should have said. They are plugged into the motherboard audio port at the back at the moment until I sort my set up out.

 

Rough guess would be that it is trying to send the voice to some non existent centre speaker due to some dodgy surround settings.

Try forcing everything in the game and windows to be stereo only.

Really want to get back into Witcher 3 now that the TV series is out and I've started reading the books, I've only got about 25% completion but there just seems to be sooo much talking/cut scenes and not enough action, doesn't help that I'm getting graphical glitches where character bodies disappear or distort and stretch into infinity.
