So, my Magrette arrived and just like the Seagull, I can only take some proper photos when my exams are over and the new straps have arrived.

Speaking of which, strap shopping for the Magrette is difficult. The stock black strap- although of good quality- looks absolutely horrible and doesn't suit the watch at all. I'm looking to get something made of an old ammo pouch or baseball glove. My only gripe is that these straps are half the cost of the watch. :/

I prefer ANALOGUE ALL THE WAY but when it comes to watches i prefer DIGITAL!!

I didnt see the poll correctly @ first. I chose "Digital Hand Watch" instead of "Dont wear one" as I dont have my good watch anymore :(

Analogue all the way for watches! Unless its a G Shock, and even then...

Anyway, I finally found someone who's making a strap for my Magrette, and it isn't half the price of the watch! W00P!

I have a boring watch but it tells the time so I'm happy,

Nike fuel band, had it on since just before Christmas, earned myself nearly a million fuel points and its still going strong doesn't quite look very clean any more as I only remove to recharge every 4-5days.

I do keep looking at the Oakley Minute machine, just because it looks nice and chunky and in my eyes cool :) I also love titanium :p.

Hey guys, can you help me out?

I have been looking for a watch for quite a while now, but i am not willing to spend half a fortune on it, im thinking like max 100 pounds.. I have some trouble finding a watch in that class range, with the style that i am wanting.[IMG]

This is kinda the simple style that i am looking for, but watches like these are incredibly expensive.
Sorry for any grammar mistakes, english is not my first language.

Georg Jensen aren't the biggest brand but make some utterly stunning dress watches. The prices are disputed as I believe all their watches are quartz, but they're still worth the money to a lot of people.

For 100 quid, you'll be getting guartz, but we will need to know a few more things.

    Colour
    Strap (bracelet, leather?)
    Brand preference
    Material

Colour - A black dial, silverlike bezel

Strap (bracelet, leather?) Preferably a black leather rim

Brand preference - Brands means nothing to me, except i want to stay out of Skagen watches, they are beautiful, but my family has bad experience with them.

    Material - No clue..

Budget - 150 quid as i wrote above. I know it is not much, but money does not come to me easily. (Added an extra 50 quid.)

    Thx for the help

What's your budget? The Seiko SARB71 is almost criminally sexy and features a top-shelf Seiko automatic movement. One can hardly do better under $500.

Might be a bit over budget for him but by god it'd be worth saving up for! :thumb:

Yikes, forgot that he'd mentioned budget in the post above.

Well, for £100, you can forget about sapphire and the fancy stuff, but you can still get a couple of perfectly competent Seiko 5 that meet your specs. Or, my personal favourite around the $150-ish mark - the Orient Bambino

Naf picture but this is the watch I wear everyday, love it! Had it for 3 years and it works like a dream. Will be due a service shortly so I'm saving up for that to keep it tip top!

I know I was a very lucky boy when I got given that (a combined wedding/birthday present). They have been one of my favourite "reasonable" watches for years. You can keep your Tags and Omega Seamasters lol.

I wear it everyday day all day, only problem is when wearing a dress shirt so I am looking for something a bit slimmer, I would really like one of these http://www.patek.com/contents/default/en/5120G_001.html but there's no way I'm going to be able to have one

We all feel the same about PP. Some day... :D

What would you be looking to spend on a dress watch? I'm sure we can offer help for something similar.

I wish they made a PP Calatrava in steel, and not just because it would be cheaper. White gold is not as flashy as yellow or rose, but I dislike "luxurious" materials when utilitarian ones will do.

Still, if I could afford a Calatrava, I wouldn't wait for steel, I'd slap the WG on my wrist in a heartbeat! :D

How about the rose gold Calatrava?

That's one on my bucket list.

Agreed. The rose gold Calatrava is utterly stunning. I don't find, however, that yellow gold suits it.
