Looks good. There's been a massive price gap between 23-24'' and 27'' IPS for a while, presumably because the only 27'' displays have been professional spec. Hopefully this is going to be equivalent to low-end IPS (LG, new Dell etc) and therefore cheap! I know the current Dell 27'' IPS is awesome and all, but most of us can't afford it.

I own the Dell U2711 and I love it!

This monitor looks pretty identical. Would be interesting to see the g2g timings.

I definitely think they need to be making more of this kind of thing, bring it into the consumer space. I was just considering getting a Dell U2711 but I may wait to see this pricing first, although Dell and Samsung still have far better ascetics.

This looks like a lower end 27inch option, compared to the Dell U2711. Should be interesting.

Comment on the article: There is no point in the manufacture in giving the actual contrast ratio.. they all say: 1000:1, even thought it's not really true.

I know, their monitors have already achieved enlightenment and will ascend to display nirvana. If only all monitors followed the teachings of the Buddha.

2560x1440 & IPS is just gorgeous :) sooooooooo much better than the 120hz monitor of my last one & no noticable input lag or ghosting & don't even notice any tearing when games going past 60fps with v-sync disabled :), took a gamble on a Hazro & am very happy .

    IPS has sub categories:
e-IPS, E-IPS (not the same as e-IPS), S-IPS, H-IPS, P-IPS, and now from Samsung PLS.

e-IPS (economy-IPS) is used on the entry level IPS panel, basically the one that have a low price tag.

Excellent news, now if only they get the price right and start to push prices down in the 27" range.

@LedHed: Yeap, my pair of BenQ FP241W's are starting to show their age (backlight getting dimmer) but I love these displays oh so much. Best long term purchase I made, ever.
