    get one that actually plugs in. a small handheld extention that allows you to have the dremal out of the way is handy (forgot what its called) and haveing more than just 2 speeds to choose from is really handy. the one I have has at least 4 if not 5 different speeds I think.

    the first one, other 2 arnt powerfull enough

    edit/ although i advise u find one that can be switched down to 15,000rpm if possible

    Definitely go for a corded model. And as TheoGeo says, get one that can go to low RPM. The Dremel model 398 is a bit pricey, but a robust piece of kit that will take a battering and also can go from 33.000 rpm down to 5000 rpm in 1000 rpm steps.
