Am happily enjoying some BF3 gaming but it's randomly crashing (argghhh) mostly after a death or level reload.

Any suggestions on checks to perform?

    Specs:
    Win 7 32bit, Q6600 G0, P5N32-E Sli Plus, 3GB DDR2, GTX460
    (1GB stick died on me)

I appear to suffer with bf3 crashing, however I think it was due to my gpu overclock. The problem I have is the game kicks me out to windows and the only way to get back is shut down the game and start again.

    Maybe a thought.

    Hi

Have you installed patches, think theres 2, they should install auto, i say because of your Application Version: 1.0.0.0 and Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.0, this looks to me like 1st version, i could be wrong.

Try putting all your graphic settings to there lowest and see how that goes, theres also a lattancey option lower that to.

Your system is much the same as mine. you do have a better gpu than me so u should be ok.

Have you tried updating your audio and graphics drivers?

You should be ok with the latest nvidia WHQL drivers (285.62) but if you have problems with triangular artifacts the more recent beta drivers (290.53) might be worth a try.

Also, which GTX460 do you have? If its an ASUS one make sure you dont have GamerOSD installed as that can cause in-game stability issues and crashes at map change.

I've had crashes, since the beta just finally decided to track it down. Most of them have happened in caspian border. Possibility audio or LAN updated 2 to 3 days ago and seems to be ok so far.

Do you have an ASUS graphics card and have yet to install the ASUS software?

I ask as my brother had the same issue, but uninstalling the ASUS OSD and SmartDoctor stopped this (he may have had to reinstall vid drivers, too)

Yeah, the problem seems to be with GamerOSD, I was getting fairly frequent crashes at map changes until I uninstalled it.

Ive had the same fault on two GPUs same error message as list, some were from a 460GTX and now from a 6950 using either the ASUS or AMD drivers. indicates to me its not GPU, but all my other drivers are up to date
