LOL, this will be pretty tame compared to most of gigers art.

Thus far, very true. Massive fan of him as well. The man made a full-size sculpture of the alien using modelling clay, animal bones, meat, metal and anything he could get his hands on!
Satan II and Landscape 13 (I think) are 2 of my favs.

Otherwise, this is looking really really nice. Those fan shrouds look the mutts dangly bits!

Thanks guys! So, Ive got 2 chieftec dragon carcuses, but both are missing the 5.25 plastic drive rail brackets. I planned to rig up the optical in the top to slide out from within scuplted top panel. I'll have to keep hunting or devise another bracket system.

This is my fav pic so far...

An idea for the side panels.

What about three tubes cutted in diagonal like fake air intakes?

Something simmilar to the front pieces.

God I hope so, we don't need to see any giant penises hanging out on this thing. Seriously, look at Giger's original alien sketches, their heads are freaking giant penises..... Looks awesome so far by the way. :thumb:

Thanks for the great comments guys!

I know exactly what I wanna do with the top and side panels. The only thing that will recognizable as the Khaos will be the vent in the side panels. Well, maybe not even that...lol

Today I fixed up some brackets for the optical drive. I cannibalized these from the base of an old 5.25 bay. Cut and bent them appropriately so they hold work with the "slide" style drive bay brackets screwed onto the drive. I couldn't find the Chieftec Dragon version I thought I had, but did find some from an old Compucase (similar design). The new top panel I'll be making will encase the drive, so it was important that I can slide the optical drive in/out without having to access fastener screws. I thought I'd need to plant a pilot screw in front of the notch in spring portion of the bracket (to keep it from sliding out) but it's snug enough to stay in place on it's own.

Excellent reuse of case parts. Maybe that's why we never throw anything away. "Someday I might need...."
