You can get really large drill bits... that's the neatest way The rim around the switch will hide any rough edges though so you might get away with dremeling - I wouldn't like to do it though r.
Problen is that there's nothing to centre the drill on give the 156mm hole there already. Only way I can see is to grind it out. I don't even know if I have the dremel bits for to remove 0.333cmsq of metal twice.
what did that have to do with my origional post? unless it was for cutting holes in your case for buttons.
Exactly, the Bulgin needs a 18.2mm cutout. We may be off-(initial)topic butits been kinda incremental
can find yet. Screfix have this: http://www.screwfix.com/shop_products.html?1184 but it diesn't say if that works for metal.
I think that'll only work on plastics and GRP. I've only ever seen one used on TV, and they used it to enlarge some holes in a plastic container.
Looks like it! If you've got a steel case, it should manage it (It's for sheet steel if you read the decription), and if you've got aluminum, you're laughing, as it's nice and soft to cut (I've cut holes in it with woodworking spadebits!)
As seen here http://www.bit-tech.net/article/63/14 It will cut metal just as well as plastic. I use them all the time, both the stepped type and the conical sort.
like linear I can not tell you how I feel, in short for the things I would say I would be banned, much like you were before. anyway. I find it insulting that you would believe that our memories are that short. If we can remember how to build a computer we sure as hell are not going to forget you. I personally don't find you very welcome here, but it is not my site. However this is my thread. So please, don't post in it. oh and the so called tools that he uses to take the buttons appart can be bought at your local tool store. (But he said he has special tools to take appart the buttons..) yes what makes these special is that they are in his hands not yours which makes him money.. but not from here.. Seth.
I had a sealed connector one time that some ****wit ripped the wires out of. The manufacturer wanted 700$US to fix it. Standard fee. Every return is completly refurbed. Even if all I wanted was to fix a wire. I asked to speak to a tech. Techs are almost always helpful. He said to break it apart you need a special tool that is built by the connector maker. They only sell you one if you buy connectors from them and the tool is 300$US. I said, I'm not paying that. He told me what they use, and sent me the parts to make the breaking tool. All it was: The female portion of the connection soldered to a nut driver. Totally unrelated, I just trot that out when I hear "Special tools"
