Finally got around to fixing my pc (wife threatening to remove it from the living room to make space for baby things). All going well until i get to installing vista. Mouse and keyboard working fine in BIOS but when i get to the install screen for vista to simply pick language time etc neither work.

Help! The wife threat is looming over me!!!

it seems to vary from machine to machine, i think it depends on the usb controller on the board, some work straight away, some take a while

Could be, my mouse is slow of the slowest once i setup the drivers but during windows install its really fast.

+ keyboard should work surely, as they never need a driver.

Managed to get vista installed using an old school keyboard. still no usb mouse keyboard functionality.

    Motherboard is gigabyte Z77X-D3H
    Processor I5 3550
    8gig RAM
    128 SSD HD

Any ideas? Wife is openly mocking me!
