Apple Decent Twitter Client?

Now that I've 'discovered' Twitter, I have TwitterFon on my iPhone. Which works great.

Is there something similar for the desktop? Something that I can keep open, but minimised on the dock and that tells you how many updates (if any) are there? Sort of like Mail does?

Tried TweetDesk, but don't like it - seems over the top and I keep closing it by mistake...

 

I use IconFactory's Twitterific. Not perfect by any means, but it only pops up when there are new tweets and otherwise keeps itself hidden away, existing just in the menu bar.

Twhirl?

I use that and TweetDeck.

 

We use twitterfox at work. (it's a firefox extension if you can't guess by the name )

 

Using Twhirl at the moment - Can't really make my mind up on either it or Twitterific.

I have tweetdeck, but like I said I'm not keen on it.

 

I use alertthingy for my twitter client. Also includes Flickr and Facebook so its my social networking all in one
