What work unit is it you are going through?
I had a 6040 that took 22 hours to do, if the monitor you are using has not been updated with new projects it could be telling you porkeys.

I guess your still using Fahmon? You should understand that the a3 projects points allocation is bonus based. Install HFM.net, configure your clients in the the same manner & select the option that calculates your bonus then you will see a more accurate PPD estimation.

6040 is new, I've not seen one. Did the score compensate for the longer completion?

Yes I think I got about 8800 points for it (worked out from the SMP2 points calculator).
Base points are 1395 from what I can remember from looking it up this morning whereas most of the other a3 projects are 450 - 500 ish.
They are supposed to take about a day for a normal i7 and a day to day and a half for a Core 2 Quad.

Cool, so in my case with a Q6600 it will be probably score 6k which is about the same as the 6011-6025 projects. I assume you completed in 22 hours with an i7?

    i7 930 @ 2.93GHz and -smp 7 flag with native Ubuntu 9.10 2.6.31-20.

I think it got 8613 points but will know for sure when it pops up in a few minutes on EOC stats. Takes a bit of time to upload and eats a fair bit of RAM, not as much as bigadv though.

Interesting link. The a3 core is clearly a step closer towards the bigadv WUs. When they are fully migrated from the a2 core I think I will build an i7 930 rig myself. Hopefully this will co-incide with new Ubuntu release.

Don't forget you will need to generate a key to use on the clients for getting the bonus on the A3 and BigAdv projects!

Is it only the smp client that can get the A3 units? (none of the gpu clients etc) I have to do ten of these to start getting bonus points (after passkey was entered) ?
