Damn, either the link to their website is wrong or the site is broken. I really wanted to spec one up to see what kind price I could get one up to!

I'd have one for lanning if I had the cash - that thing is better than my current rig and is easier to move.

Would like to see their cooling solution.

Does it have a battery? If so can you get past the windows logo on startup?

Good point. I wonder how long the battery life is on full-load. Very impressive that they managed to fit all that in a (just) portable form-factor. That being said I wouldn't recommend resting that thing on your lap while playing Crysis. Not if you wish to pass on your seed at any point. That being said you could probably turn a profit by running a portable sterilisation clinic.

Nope, they throw in a portable generator and 5 litres of Super Unleaded to get you started.

You also get a year's supply of liquid nitrogen and industrial strength ear defenders so that the whole thing appears 'silent'

    ;D

This was probably the laptop Bill Gates was using when he gave his speech on micro nuclear reactors. He knows the pain.

Super unleaded? Surely that would double the price of the laptop no?

3.33ghz on a laptop? That's actually quite impressive. Most quad core laptops have reduced frequencies, so to get six cores running at this speed is very good.

they ought to be sponsored by the lottery as it's the only way joe public will be able to afford one lol..Plus, while the laptop might be expensive, you'd save a packet on heating your home in winter!

    Impressive specs, but...
That'll be what's commonly called a 'battery' then, will it? What a novel feature to include in a notebook! Gotta love that marketing spin - I can see that PR meeting now:

PR1 - the battery life, measured in minutes, only just scrapes double figures. How are we going to make this look good?
PR2 - let's call it an integrated UPS!
    PR1 - schwing!

Just the sort of thing we are after at work. We need to run a few virtual servers and currently the poor consultants laptops with their 2 cores and 2 gig am really struggle to run 3 x windows 2003 server VM's. I have been tasked with finding a performance laptop for "about 3 grand" that could handle a few virtual servers for our demo machines to take on the road.
Just specd up a nice 6 core machine on that site, hopefully it will get approved :D

At least they are marketing it as a portable "server" and not a gaming beast, even with a 6-core and more RAM than most normal people could ever use, a portable graphics card is still the weakest point. I bet it couldn't run Crysis at even high settings.

Just specced one up, got to £12,662. May need to take out a loan. Or rob a small bank.
