Yea as far as im concerned any decent west country REAL cider kicks the living crap out of kopparberg as does my home brew cider
definitly go with the home brew, either proper Ale or for the non alcoholic choice a decent ginger beer.
Ive just had an ice cold Rekorderlig wild berries cider, and it was awesome, its not very strong 4% but perfectly acceptable whilst sat in the garden.
Ah lonkero, they truly are awesome. I've tried to make them here, but it's just never the same. For me, it'd be either Irn Bru with a pint glass full of ice, or a nice cold bottle of tuborg or some other middle range lager. A negroni is nice in the evening too.
Millers Gin + Fever Tree tonic with a slice of lime is a staple for me when its hot. I also cant think of a time when a chilled bottle of Innis & Gunn oak isn't welcome.
Guinness - and not the poncy new 'cold-flow' either, the old one, 'warm flow' we call it in the local, though it's not warm. We fear change.
Definitely feeling the Kopparberg Pear Cider vibe, tastes like cold pear drops but I agree a single pint is plenty because of the sweetness. Had Modelo Especial mexican beer a couple of times recently and it is a great nicely rounded full flavour even when chilled, don't let anyone shove lime in the top tho. Finally I hope Shepard Naeme are stocking bottled Whitstable Bay Ale again. Its on draught as a cask ale in the summer but is nicest out of a chilled bottle, look for it in the cooler.
