Peripherals Headset picking up truck frequencies ... lol

Sounds funny... but true, and IT'S A WIRED HEADSET!!

How does this pick up trucking frequencies when I'm on the computer? I can hear (no offense) rednecks calling one another names and all this dirty talk.... hahaha, and out of curiosity, is it not healthy to have interference with such thing?

cables must be very badly shielded then. reminds me of when me an a friend used some pocket uhf radios (or whatever they are) to trick truckies into all sorts of things

 

Try wrapping some foil around the cable, see if that helps. Like tominated said, it's probably bad shielding.

 

Avoid coiling the cable

 

I used to get this on my 5.1 system in my bedroom at University. It really freaked me out the first time it happened.
