I can't comment on the 42" however I own a 26" VIZIO and I love it. Takes some tweaking to get the brightness and color where you want it, but once you do it's spot on. As far as that price, It's only 100 bucks cheaper then Costco. However, probably aren't paying taxes online. So you're looking at 1070-1090ish at a store. Guess it depends on how strapped or frugal you are. I'd opt for a new TV simply for the warranty?
