I'm thinking of doing the same - I know it's for MW5! Wonder if the Black Friday sales will see any price reductions?

    A friggin' tree, Lois!

We've never bothered with Christmas decorations before but with the kid it seems the right thing to do, and my parents are visiting this weekend so it will mark the occasion. Otherwise I would have waited until December.

Given how much I have fallen in love with mine I got one for Mum after giving her a demo over the phone. I think it was the "Alexa, play me country music" part that got her all giddy with excitement.

Got extra presents for my brother and sister in law, given they're hosting Christmas.

    And this for my sis.

I then realised my mother likes spending time in her kitchen preparing stuff etc. So I got her this so she can instruct it to play country music lol

Finally I bought something for myself. Something I didn't really want, or need, but it was so cheap (£79) I couldn't resist. I found it last night and thought about ordering one in white. Typical I get up after sleeping on it and the white one is now £249.

So I grabbed the black one. I will more than likely use it in my man cave.

Nice looking tree. I love the real trees.
Am I the only one wonder what was removed to make room for the tree?

Whatever it was it was heavy by the looks of it.

I've never had a real tree before, seems good so far and it was fun to drive out and choose one.

The furniture situation has been a bit funny, we moved in about a year ago and we're renovating the house one room at a time. So until yesterday we had a daybed sitting in the back of the living room which has now been disassembled, the dining table was then moved over from the bay to make space for the tree:

Note the sleepy dog who insisted we put a Christmas film on which he didn't even watch.

So as it stands we have a living room that hasn't been decorated since the late 1900s, and won't for probably another year. It's quite refreshing though as the dog can come in with mucky paws and all we do is hoover it up

Another LED video light - this one is like shining the light of a thousand suns in my face!

Sacrificial serial cable - I'm gonna chop the cable off after the male connector

    2x Arduino Pro Mini (5v)

One of these and the serial cable are going to make a 9-pin 'Atari-style' joystick to USB adapter. I tried playing some Atari STe games on a joypad and it just feels wrong.

And a Porg plushie. Because someone in work got one as a secret santa thing and as soon as I saw it I really had to have one.

Actually, two are black, one is blue (cat5).

It's just that I've crudely masking taped two to the wall to stop the dog catching them.

The third I added at a later date

You'll love it! If you want to convert it to right hand drive, it's a simple case of mirroring the instructions for the most part, though you have to switch the location of a gear to make the steering turn the correct direction. Also, the instructions have the gearbox set in the wrong order - do a quick search and you'll find the solution.

    Kinda "purchase"

Rental for an upcoming trip to the US. I could have rented something more sensible and practical, but where would the fun in that be.
