With its unique design and blue anodised aluminium build material, the Lian LI PC-888 is like no other case on the market. Limited to a production run of just 500 units, it's the height of chassis exclusivity, but is it actually a good case underneath the styling? We find out.

    :eeek:

    NO! Just no.

Thats everything you don't expect from a Lian Li and the price is stupid! No doubt that it's really well built but its fugly.

Awful.... I usually appreciate when a company does something different but this is a far cry from the elegance we are use to see from lian li.... looks like a robot from a 70 sci-fi show.

lian li have obviously tried to do something very different with this one. The fact of the matter is though while the design may look great at a tech show etc who would actually want one of these in their room?

That was a first look and announcement, this was a review - the scores at the end are a dead giveaway.

Earth to bit-tech, all resolutions are 4:3 or wider - how the f*** are we supposed to garner anything useful from those 3000 pixel high graphs? "learn2landscape" or atleast an option, please!

Are you some kind of idiot? You'd have the same problem in landscape except now sidescrolling is required instead of vertical scrolling. Not to mention that webpages are generally designed to fit within a certain width to accommodate lower resolution monitors.

The drives aren't actually "hot-swap-able" due to the fact that the 3.3V line is missing. From the pictures it looks like the "Hot-Swap" cages are powered by a regular molex (as they are in their other cases). Sure they are easy to remove but not truly hot-swap able...
