    As the title says.

I haven't really got to try out alot of other programs, and i certainly don't know whats good and bad.

So i wondered if any of you were using programs with similar functions, that you could recommend?

    Greets IK.

Are you just looking for a list of other instant messengers or alternative client software for MSN?

Google Talk is a pretty simple messenger-type program.

    No smileys though :(

Well yeah perhaps just that, maybe a little more information like your personal experience.

But then again, it's different things people look for in those kind of programs, so links/names would be very nice too!

Thank you all for the responds :) Ill check em out when i get the time

I think he was asking if you're after a different service (ie a different protocol, e.g. jabber) or are you after an alternative MSN messenger client?

I love using Meebo.com its a web-app that works with aim, msn, yahoo and gtalk clients, the interface is awesome, and although there is less functionality, It's perfect for me as I don't want to clutter my computer with messenger software.
