this post will put the build up to date :)

at this point the nes is now finished painted and buffed every piece is now fabricated and all that is left is to put this beast together and take some nice pics for you guys.

here is the first piece being installed for the final build of the nes(hopefully). This also gave me a chance to practice a bit with my Wife's dslr.

The new I/O panel, I am now using internal laptop antennas. removing the antennas cleaned up the back of the case quite a bit.

to the left of the hdmi is the power inputs and to the top right is the usb cutout.

Why the mechanical HDD though? Surely a mechanical drive creates a lot of unnecessary noise and heat.

I see this and say "why?" but then I respond " Why not!!!"

I'd have aimed for original colours as best as possible but it still looks awesome!

I think it looks great - I was worried when you customised the case because I like to see the box or container keeping most of its original charm. I think you've come out doing it rather tastefully.

I am one of those people who hates carbon fibre design and think it doesn't look nice or appealing, but it isn't completely awful here. The vents on the side are a bit gaudy, I would've preferred something more... minimalist but I admit that you've done a pretty good job here.

    The retro nerd is happy.

Impressive! I like the selection of the hardware you have done and how you manage to put everybody in that case! Quick question, where did you get this special HDMI cable?

    Thanks
one of my goals from the get go was to keep its charm while giving in a modern time twist.

stay tuned I have a little retro surprise you might like That I have not shared yet!
    thank you.

from aliexpress or baba. there is no link for it ether I had to get in touch with the manufacturer and see if they made one with the right angle and they did. I ordered this as soon as I found it ,I was not even sure if I needed it. searched for a week straight just for this part.
