No more official results from now. Any results recieved will be added to the spreadsheet but WON'T count in the official rankings. You're benching for fun now!

The total score in the far right is used for ranking. Those entrants marked in Blue are not officialy "counted" in overall ranks.
Due to no entrants being present in the "other" category the 1st and 2nd place prizes will goto the Air category where there are a sufficent number of entrants.
Same goes for water, only 1 entrant so 2nd place prizes goto air.
    So, results as follows:

    Air
    1st - Johnny Bravo -- 19.0. 7800GS from bit-tech
    2nd - Sam666 -- 18.4. Watercooling gear from coolercases and EPUK
    3rd - Goreblast -- 15.33 -- 1 year hosting package
    4th - Tank_Rider - 14.6 -- 1 year hosting package
    5th - Mackerel -- 11.7 -- 1 year hosting pacakge
    6th - Jimwah - 11.0
    7th - Don_vercetti - 10.9

    Water
    1st - Persivore -- 16.0 - X1800XL AIW from ATI

Can the prize winners drop me a PM with their details please.

For those interested, the forumla used for scoring was as follows:

    ((2*(Core_increase)+ mem_increase)*10)+(% increase in score)/1000

The complete spreadsheet with all results/clocks is available on request.

Would like to thank everyone for competing in the comp, hope everyones enjoyed the benching and had a laugh along the way. Also want to give a big thanks to those who have sponsored us cheers guys, much appreciated.
If anyones got any questions please let me know.

Highland3r - that was a fun contest. A big thank you to all the sponsors. Also I hope everyone can post their results and how they got there in this or one of the other threads - would be good to see how Johnny Bravo did it.

    Very true.
It was not as if the deadlines where too difficult to meet or it was too dear to enter or anything.

Looking good. How high did you get the GPU and memory and at what voltage?

627/249, GPU was 1.4-5 and mem was 2.8-2.85v. My mem would just not OC past 250 even with a really low core. And I just noticed that dirt or mould on my wall :sigh:

Very good core. Did you artifact much at that?
I had core at one point at 640, but was artifacting so much that bench scores dropped. Pity that Highland3r hadnt stated the forumla first. With the actual core and memory values having an influence on overall score it might have paid to have a higher overclock and slightly lower bench score.

My sweet spot was 540/270 - could go no higher with memory and get any improvement. I think the key with my card was to do the overclocking and volatage increases etc very quickly as even after a couple of days and with voltages dropped back to the level I posted my scores with I could not replicate them at all - very odd.

Congrats everyone, as gore said it would have been good to know the formula before we started, but hey it was all good fun :)

I'm probably going to have a more detailed play at some point, as i didnt manage to get as much done as i wanted too, still pleased with what i managed. What were the LOD tweaks by the way?

Also as gore said it would be good to see a pic of the winning setups and what settings were used, as i think i could probably learn a thing or two from those guys!!

I followed it right through... Nice contest! Just a shame that it was for UK only. If someone plans on doing this for the European mainland, I always want to help and/or compete. I have some idea's :D

The reason for not posting the formula was so people benched to get the best results, rather than to get the highest score for the competition...

Johnny_Bravo's written a great guide over at XS, click the link below for more info.

I'll reply to those PM's sent tomorrow guys, middle of a houseparty atm ;)

Johny is very talented in the electrical modding department, I am noob :sigh: that’s how he got me, my os tweaks managed to get me second place :D which I am more then happy with . Good contest and competition and some fun, just horrible horrible cards :waah:

hmm, a lot of stuff in jonny bravo's post there :)

I wasn't too sure of whether os tweaks were allowed so didn't do any :(

Saying that though i doubt they would have got me above Gore anyway.

All good, i've finally got a reason to get to grips with a bit of webpage creation over the summer.

Tank_rider - I thought the same as many of the tweaks would affect superPI scores, so in the end didnt do any.

    All good fun though.
