    Hi,
I'm going to mod my Gateway 2000 ATX tower.
    I have bought

[x1] UV RED rounded ide cable
[x1] UV BLUE rounded ide cable
Cahnged all the molex connectors to easy grip RED UV

but at the same time i have the 20pin ATX and 4 pin UV Red connector, I dont have the atx removal tool, Is there a guide for it? without using the "special" tool.

I hanvet mod the side panel...just need some design to begin with.....any site that shows the side panel design sample.... :dremel: plan to etch on the arylic too.

With that said, if you unfold a staple or get a really really tiny jeweler's screw driver you can use those to removed the pins. I would do the pins one at a time so you dont have 2 wires off the ATX connector and are like *Crap where do they all go*. If you move them one at a time, you should be fine. And those atx tools dont work at all, at least mine didnt

using the tool, push it in all the way, then yank the wire out the back. be careful not to jerk it, or you may break the tool.

especially when they're $35. But i think AC Ryan gives you the molex/floppy/aux/atx removers with their plug replacement kits now. The only problem is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get those god damn AC Ryan plugs off.

Yeah, i bought the $30 PSU modding kit and the damn atx removed doesnt even fit in the connector to release the pins. I've tried it on Antec, Tt, Raidmax, InWin and Cooler Master PSUs and it doesnt work on any of them.

Some people have had success with the plastic ink tube from a ballpoint pen. I tried it and it didn't work, but perhaps the pen I used was just c**p.

    c**p?

btw i have successfully manage to learn the technique to put out the cable.
you need to get the bigger size one 24/6 as in the pcmoddingmy guide...
    and

use the hammer to hammer the "poking" end...so its easier to be put into the side. :dremel:

BTW does anyone has sample of RED UV rig?

worked perfectly for me and i didnt bother to see if i was posted yet or not but i took an audio jack from raidoshak and cut off the very tip of it. Size is perfect to squeez the pin enough for it to come out with out a hitch. At least thats how i sleeved my machine. Although the sleeving was crappy as hell and it became all frayed.

They're referring to molex connector removal devices. As for the ATX and 12v plugs, staples work best unless you want to break down and buy the tool

they're useless not the tool. I've done over 10 PSUs with one of those little ADP tools. Never an issue.
