Compaqs make everything kinda unique so the average joe would have to buy from them : ) (corperations : P)
Well my birthday was the day afer Christmas so they end up merged. Nordica Beast Ski Boots Leatherman Wave £130 Chocolates Socks Electronic and paper diary Smellies (oh they smell alright )
I contacted Compaq 4 TIMES before I orded it (had other questions to ask)and all of them said it would work but now when I explain that it leaves the last 4 sockets free at first he said something about it was only for LEDs but then he changed his tune and said "I don't know contacted your closest Compaq authorized repair place" I know what they are going to say "I don't know bring it in to our shop" and that means money spent I'm sure and hey the card is working. I will just keep until I build my new computer. Yeah I spent from like 9:00 to 12:00 trying to get everything done just to find out it won't fit. The new one was to wide so I had to drill 2 more holes after putting it in and taking it out a hundred times and getting it in and out was a pain because it was very cramped in the case. Getting the TV Tuner was a pain to get in too. The card did not want to go into the PCI slot (I think it was more of a case problem then the card). I finally had to push it over and push done and it went in after about a hour. I did all this with a bad sore throat, major headache and so tired I could not hardly keep my eyes open. But now I'm feeling better and I'm able to enjoy my presents . Got to love a cordless keyboard and mouse.

Well, I just got back from one present... My first vacation in about 10 years. The mother-in-law paid for the expenses for us to go to Arizona and hang out for the week, which was really nice (except being sick, wouldn't you know it). So, expect some vacation pics posted this week when I can get them sorted. The wife gave me money, which I decided I would buy myself a CD cabinet, and an Xbox (with DVD remote 2 controllers and 6 games). My boss gave me a gift cert to best buy, which I think I will go and get the two DVD sets of Family Guy with. And, since we were out of town for the holiday, we have yet to exchange gifts with the father-in-law, who always gives me a couple paper boxes full of paperback books (probably 2-300 books). So, all in all, I would have to say it's one of the best Annual Giftgiving Days I've ever had.
Looks like Santa stopped by work while I was on vaca. and looky what he left me…Three proto boards, a Metcal solder station….very cool and a prototyping workstation. Me very happy…
