Lovely article. Yeah, in woodworking or home repair, 240 is considered fine grit. 3000 grit isn't going to do much with most unfinished woods, and for plaster, anything finer will just clog.
There's also 60 and 50 grit for those who do not have rough files/rasps. I have a single strip of 50 grit that has served me well for at least 20 years.
-We should also mention Swiss-cut files so Nexxo doesn't have to. They are super fine, can be used horizontally, and leave a surface that doesn't need to be sanded.
