    20 years since CERN made the World Wide Web free for anyone to use but not the 20th birthday. That was 2011.

    The article makes that clear: the headline is arguable, depending on when you see it being 'born.' I see the birth as when it was publicly available, not when it was first developed at CERN. Think of it like a human baby: is the birthday the day when the child comes out into the world, or the day of conception?

    Very interesting article, for example I never realized (or thought about) the fact that the WWW isn't the internet.

    I remember when I accessed Internet back in 1990. IRC at that time were pure very HIGH level !
