I'm sure the top 20 average PPD was a lot higher.

SO in theory if I stuck 2 spare GPU's folding I would break 60KPPD and get in top 20?

Makes no sense, I'm suppose to be the slacker of the team :)

It's warm and the cost of electricity stops me running the 300,000PPD that I have available.

A few of our members had to cut back for financial reasons or accidentally butchered their setups trying to consolidate machines. Costs are definitely an issue for people at the moment. I will only break out my third machine for the Chimps Challenge, and run my 2600k at full steam for that, as it doubles as my media server and I dont want it to only last a year (and just getting through summer here). It is pretty sad that I am scraping in at spot 20 with 43k when before christmas to get in the top 20 you needed 50-60k.

I doubt it. What GPU-s would produce that kind of numbers?

Since leaving CPC/bit-tech I've had to cut back my folding farm considerably.

I'd like to get more online for the Chimps Challenge, but given the recent warm weather that could be a problem.

GTX560 Ti will give in excess of 15kPPD.

Depends on what Votick is getting at present, without GPU.

Unless you start an 'arms-race' and cause other people to start-up their GPUs to keep ahead of you. :D

This thread gets bogged down in the usual arguments, but toward the end is a fairly straightforward post - "
A GTX 680 stock-clock using Protein P8033 is showing TPF of 03:03, almost exactly the same as GTX 560Ti, which has 1/3rd the cores. The GTX 680 is on a Core 9775 "Skulltrail", Vista 32-bit, F@H console 7.52

I'd say it will take a while for Pande to release a Kepler-aware core and optimizations."

Warm weather is an issue for me too. All three of my rigs are in the room where I sleep (no option), getting quite uncomfortable for me with this recent warm spell. I've had to stop folding on my main rig (see sig) during the night.

Need to get back to H2O and put the rads back in the floor.

Had to stop completely a month back as I couldn't keep up with the cost of running 70k PPD.

If a new job comes along in the near future (may happen...) I will be firing everything back up again.

Had a long holiday and just got back last night. Will power up the farm today. Adding an extra cpu this week, hope to get to the top 10 this month.
Will be folding with the following
    2600k at 4.2 x2
    560 ti x2 - stock clock
    580 - stock clock
    260 - stock

Cant wait to get back! Only concern is the summer heat. Well we'll see how it goes.

Sorry to hear about the rigs tattysnuc, hope you get them up and running soon.

Been folding a couple of days and have been having a lot of failed gpu projects. Also the temps that i have been getting at stock are at about 70ish. So i guess i will have to stop gpu folding for awhile. Will only be folding now on 2 x 2600k.
