    Feels like I'm finally making progress in my life-I own my motor home, my relationships are all improving and my hair is even coming back. Bout to need a binder around here too, which is also a win.

    Aren't you going male to female? Get a sports bra. Quite comfy and hide the changes for a good while.

    Just watched The Gentlemen by Guy Ritchie. Bloody hell, what. A. Movie. Really enjoyed that. Enough to immediately order the BluRay.

    I'd forgotten how much fun it is in a busy newsroom. Loving the new gig.

    I'm at The Register three days a week for the next couple of months. Probably longer, but they don't need me in August so I'll be having a break before picking it up again.

    Try to get in touch with Simon and help him. He's too slow.

    No prizes for guessing what I didn't do when I bought the card.

    Hint: Measure aaannything. But considering the stock of 6800XT's sold out in a matter of minutes of me looking, well. I guess worse things happen at sea.

    Edit:

    Hot and thirsty, too;

    Following a second interview (on-site) and a further third interview / 2 hour job run through I have been offered the position! :D

    24 hours a week Mon - Thur with excellent renumeration for the role. Scope in the future for the role to grow and hours to increase.

    Perfect for where I am right now following last year and provides a decent amount of "surplus" month to month for savings / spend etc.

    Must say I am chuffed and really looking forward to getting stuck in to the role.

    Quite pleased that the Macbook I bought recently hasn't turned out to be a total turd. The battery has definitely been replaced recently; I've been using it well over an hour and the battery has only dropped by 9%. I think I've plugged it in three times since I've had it and the total cycle count is 2.

    Apple is arrogant af, expensive, and determined to do everything they can to prevent you from repairing their devices... but damn you cannot beat those displays.

    Survived my first week at El Reg. Nothing that'll win me a Pulitzer, but I'm pleased with my output. Reminds me of my time at the helm of thinq_, before it got merged and I abandoned ship.

    Just had an "unscheduled disaster recovery test" at work. Situation resolved in about 30 mins. Co-worker who managed to make the thing magically disappear has vowed never to touch it again. Boss is very happy that our new-ish backup system works (only been in place around 2 months since the same guy did something similar then).
