Hey guys. Long time some I last bought any pc parts. Don't even think crypto was a thing. So I just build my son a pc using some components. Some decent bits, i7, 256gb ssd, 16gb ram. But the only gfx card I could get is a 512mb Radeon number. Thought it would maybe do for playing fortnite but only playable on lowest settings. So question is. Should I buy a 1030 knowing it'll need replaced fairly soon. Or should I up the budget to a 1050 ti. Would either be able to play Detroit become human at decent spec / frame rate? Anything else I should be looking at around the same money? Cheers in advance.
not quite 'or less' but... 1050ti... comes in at ~£160-170. the non-ti 1050 and the RX 560 aren't cheap enough [relative to the ti] to bother with imo but might be worth considering if the £150 is a hard limit. ...or see what you can get second hand.
This look legit? Suppose with the postage it's only 25 cheaper than one on Amazon https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-Gainward-GEFORCE-GTX-1050Ti-4GB-GDDR5-HDMI-display-port/273258830861?epid=19017897929&hash=item3f9f7edc0d:g:I1oAAOSwkkNbFP~e&_sop=15&_pgn=2&_nkw=gtx+1050ti&_from=R40&rt=nc
