Since mid '99-ish... Voodoo 3 3000 was my first card. Probably the cheapest too at £99. Geforce 1 SDR Geforce 1 DDR - Played Half Life without a murmur. Geforce 2 GTS Geforce 2 Pro Geforce 3 Ti200 - Homeworld looked particularly awesome. ATi Radeon 9700 ATi Radeon 9800 Pro - this was such an awesome card, shame it died Geforce 6600 Geforce 6600GT Geforce 7600GT Geforce 7800GT Geforce 7800GTX (another awesome card) Geforce 8800 GTS 640 Geforce 8800 GTX Geforce GTS260 Geforce GTX260 216 Geforce GTX275 (yet another awesome card) Geforce GTX460 Geforce GTX560Ti Geforce GTX560Ti GoldenSample Kinda stuck with Geforce for a fair bit now!
not owned that many so yeah 2x 3DFX Voodoo 3 3000 (PCI) NVIDIA Geforce 7200GS 2x NVIDIA Geforce 8000GTS (G92) NVIDIA GTX 460 NVIDIA GTX 460SE NVIDIA GTX 560ti
In Order: ASUS V9520VS GeForce FX5200 XFX GeForce 6600GT 128Mb XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320Mb LeadTek GeForce 8800GTX 768Mb MSI GeForce GTX460 1gb Cyclone
PNY NVIDIA 6600 128mb Overclocked it stupidly and it blew up whilst I was playing Oblivion XFX NVIDIA 6600GT 128mb Bought off a friend as a temporary replacement Sapphire ATI HD3850 AGP 512mb An attempt to make my old system good at gaming - it didn't work out MSI ATI HD4350 1GB Bought a new pre-built machine which had this in it XFX NVIDIA GTX260 Built a new machine with this, and it's still kicking Time for an upgrade soon though
I was a late comer to the PC party, though have still had too many GPUs HD4850 1GB HD4890 1GB HD5850 1GB (died, so replaced with GTX470) GTX470 (watercooled) GTX470 SLI (had a Xeon CPU, so this didn't actually work, so was replaced with the GTX480 below) GTX480 (watercooled) GTX480 SLI (had replaced Xeon setup (1156) with a 1366 setup) HD6950 2GB (replaced GTX480 SLI which went to fund a 3007WFP-HC) GTX460 2GB SLI (went back under DSR - they were Palit cards, and thus ridiculously hot and loud) 5970 2GB (also shortlived - not enough VRAM) GTX480 (watercooled) 6859 CF (went for the same reasons) GTX560 2GB SLI HD6950 2GB CF Ah, the glories of hindsight. I'd have either kept the GTX480 SLI (though I got rid due to ridiculous power consumption), or simply bought another 6950 2GB...
S3 Savage 4 Geforce 2 GTS 9800se (unlocked to a 9800 pro) 6800 (unlocked to a 6800GT) X850XT GTX 280 GTX 480 6950 2GB (unlocked to a 6970) GTX 570 (swapped for the above) (atm a temporary 4870) - Not actually half as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Parge the X850XT to the GTX 280 must have been quite some leap lol And kenco_uk, LOL at the two ATIs amidst the ocean of Geforces
first card (bought it mainly for quake 2- too hard to get good shots off in software mode) was a voodoo 2 went through a lot of cards since then.. nvidia (gf 3,4) and ati (their aiw cards mainly, x800xl I believe was the last one)- went to just nvidia from the release of the 8800gtx and I've finally dumped them and back to ati (6970) have a 260 and 460 in a box labeled huangs mistakes
Voodoo 2 GeForce 2 MX Geforce Ti4600 Ati X800XL GeForce 8800 GT Currently have a GTX 275 The longest serving of them was the ATi X800XL that thing was going for ages, that was when I had a shuttle too. Loved that PC, made all the moving around while i was at Uni so much easier...
God. It's making ME feel old to see some of the cards and recognize them. GeForce 440MX 32mb(?), (can't remember exact specs, ran like a little dream, though. :3 ) (Three odd years, I think. I'm amazed it coped with everything I threw at it, literally in some cases.) GeForce 6600GT 256mb (Started off with that in a Packard Bell PoS) ( A year, approximate) GeForce 7300GT 512mb (Upgraded after the 6600 couldn't quite cut it. Surprisingly it was faster!) (Another year. By that point the AGP motherboard and aging Celeron D. (Yes, the P4 based Celeron D) was really ruining any chance of playing modern games) GeForce 8600GT 512mb (My first PCI-E GPU, Free off a mate, had it for about eight months, memory was slightly wonky, so it'd crash on some games, but not others.) GTS 250 1GB (replaced the 8600GT, kept this for quite a while, year, year and a half, maybe longer.) GTX 550 Ti 1GB (Current. And by god do I love it) Yes. I'm a complete nVidia Whore. I do try to look at AMD V. Nvidia fights from an unbiased angle, however. EDIT: Oh! And before I forget: ATI Radeon Mobility IGP 9000, complete with 32MB of shared RAM! (good GOD this thing is awful in that laptop. Shame it's soldered to the damn board.)
oh...that's easy for me. I have only bought two so far... Asus EAH4870 DK 1GB 2009 or thereabouts. Complimented my first gaming rig. The custom cooler used was terrible, whiny and made my pc crash so many times. Sapphire HD69702011. The shop gave me a discount so I chose it over the powercolor making it the cheapest vanilla 6970 they had. Replace the above and happy with it since.
Another nice idea might be to specify which graphics card from your lists served you the longest: for me, it was my HD4870 which I had for exactly 1 year (oct '09 - oct '10). Feel free to edit existing posts or make new ones.
ok here goes...... ATI Rage 64, 1997 dumb piece of tin couldnt run halflife 1 properly geforce 2mx 400, came with my first pc i bought with my own cash 2002-3 geforce 4 4200ti, it had a fan and 64meg of memory, cost me about £150 geforce 6600ti, epic card AGP but still awesome, went boom when a psu went bang geforce 7600ti, needed to replace the poor 6600ti, damn you PCworld-POS-psu ATI 3850, it took me nearly a decade to go back to ATI after the horrors of the Rage 64 geforce 250GTS, ok i guess ATI 5850, Loverly card gave it to a mate. geforce 560ti, current and yummy. Hate to think how much ive spent on gfx over the years.....£1200 around about that. darn

I stared for a second and just went "A FREE 480?! WHAT BLASPHEMY IS THIS?!" Then I spotted the tag-line and it all made sense once more. :3
8600GT 335M 560Ti HAWK Luckily e-peen isn't too much of a concern for me, otherwise I'd be feeling pretty small right now
Hmmm HD4650 (First card ever in 2009 - Actually played Crysis on it!) 8800GTX 256MB Alpha Dog Edition (meh...not enough ram) HD4850 (great card and my first big upgrade) HD6870 (I miss you sooooo much) HD4870 (current card)
Haha I'm actually embarrassed to have owned so many cards in only 5 years (16 cards now, many of them top end). I kept my 4850 crossfire for 3 days...that's the state I was in back then LOL. Hopefully the GTX460 2GB will last longer
