What do you guys find yourselves doing more: Casual gaming (ie Internet games, big brain academy etc) "Real" gaming (ie Commercial PC/console games etc) Personally, i find that my habits change drastically over throughout the year, depending on my work etc but overall during any year i think my time is split fairly evenly between the two.
I'm sure that others would define casual gaming in a different way - i.e. occasionally playing the odd sports game, vs "hardcore" gaming being pwning "n00bs" on CS:Source. I'd go with somewhere inbetween, if a game is fun, I'll play it.
same reason here. only play if i find a game is enjoyable. but otherwise, i mostly play hardcore titles such as Bioshock (only one played lately). but only because it's fun.
I'm a hardcore gamer - which I define as someone with an obsessive interest in games of all genres. The type of person who laps up trivia for their games, plays them again and again and enjoys finding all the secrets bits, not just finishing and discarding a game for a few hours entertainment.
mm I play Games when I really Have no choice.. means If I very very bored I must play a game.. Not any game.. At this time I play Bioshock when I want... The games I play That the games I like. Generally I get all new games from friends when they done from it and I played it till I'm done and give it back or some times he tell me to keep it But most of my time I'm on BT and in Google trying to search any thing comes on my mind..
Bit of both myself, I play many "kiddie" games that most "hardcore" gamers wouldn't be seen dead playing. But I can also get pretty obsessive over a game.
Bit of both, i play some games to unwind and relax, but in some games i can work too hard and get stressed out (cs).
I'm beginning to get sucked back into Counter-Strike at a competitive level... and I truly regret it. I used to skip sizable portions of my high school career to practice for matches several years ago. Repeating that in university is a big no-no.
A bit of both. Depends, really. On RPGs, especially Final Fantasy you could definitely call me hardcore. I haven't really been playing any games lately other than CnC3 right now because there are no big console games out that I really want to play. It seems like we're either A. stuck in the "new consoles are out so every game for a year and a half is gonna suck" phase or the industry is just becoming too diluted with crap. I try to play the really high rated games like God of War etc...
lol waffles, not sure if you share that view with many people. CS comp is very popular. I love cs, completed bioshock recently, played cs to death, and itching with excitement over crysis and quake wars. I also have a 67 mostly blue warrior, for those that get that, ull know which option i picked
I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I generally play more then 5 hours a day, it's a great way to unwind after a day of work. Lately it's been a lot of Rainbow 6 Vegas on the 'ole PS3 (the multiplayer is awesome) and raiding 3 nights/week in WoW. Every now and again I'll go old school and hook up the NES and SNES and play some 8 and 16bit classics. Or I throw my monitor on to the old DOS box and rock Commander Keen and OG Duke Nukem and the original Lands of Lore (the non-CD version even ).
Yeah, that's hardcore. I'm not that into it, I just play for fun, but too many hours a day. So I'm a...harcore casual gamer
depends on the game.. lol... eq2... some people refer to me as hardcore if it comes to that game... 4 accounts, most of my free time spent online in eq2... other games? casual at best... so.. I'd have to go with something in between
Another bit of both, I only really play FPS and stratergy though as I only game on the PC. Tempted by a 360 though but I've got better things to spend the money on. The most fun I've had gaming though was the only time I've ever been stoned and playing mario cart on the N64 - unbelievable.
Mostly Casual gaming on my DS. Although my Pc upgrade will be done soon, then I'll be playing NWN2, Oblivion, X3 and few other PC games a lot instead.
