They stuffed up Lawbreakers so thoroughly it's actually quite impressive.

It was a thoroughly decent game (although I paid £10 for it) but the publicity and launch for it was a complete screw up, it released when I thought it was still at least a year away. With Overwatch being so close and so similar (superfiically at least) they and the publisher would have done better to sit on Lawbreakers for a year and release it in it's own space instead of sending it out to die against Blizard's juggernaut.

Cliffy didn't help himself with his stated intention to make another BILLION DOLLAR FRANCHISE, he was just as doomed as all those games that declare themselves the next big E-Sport before they've even released.

One of the first twitter responses to this was from the boss of Fortnite's studio, saying they had enough vacancies for Boss Key's entire staff.

Presumably at a lower pay grade than when they left Epic Games in the first place.

More seriously, if the offer is genuinely that is a surprisingly nice thing for Epic to do, even if they do have plenty on their hands between Fortnite, Unreal Engine and Cloudgine.
