We're living in a time of a two main party system when both main parties have been beyond useless.

    Ahh MPs. So unbelievably rubbish.

I'm getting that they don't want anything at all, and might all just be children in coats.

So judging by the votes last night if May had bothered asking the commons 3 year ago what they wanted we could've ended up with customs union and saved everyone a lot of bother and saved some face.

I know a lot can change in 3 years so we may not have got the same answer but still, maybe getting some sort of agreement on what the commons wanted before triggering A50 would've saved a lot of bother.

BoJo said the 'deal' was worse than being in the EU.
    May said she would resign.
BoJo will now support the 'deal'
    BoJo has a new haircut

Country before party my backside, him and others knowingly now supporting something they hate and is not in the best interests of the country in their opinion.

Right - now let us decide and immediately enact the results, something not possible in the initial vote.

Edit: Favourite quote I heard today: 'May fell on her sword but missed'

I assumed the disappearance of BJ from the TV meant he was trying to vanish and come back as BJ 2.0. When I noticed he had a hair cut that looked 'normal', wasn't taking reporters questions and smiling lots I assumed he was gearing up to be top dog.

But as pointed out previously, and the piranha agrees,

    BJ means BJ
also boris will always be boris

    To paraphrase George Osborne -

"'Boris is angling after being tory leader' is not news, when is he ever not doing that?"

Not choosing any option says more about your government than having chosen one of them.

To be fair they were just the initial indicative votes. A Customs Union almost got more yays than nays and a 2nd ref got the most support of any (iirc). Several including 'no deal' were poorly supported.

Sounds like there maybe more on Monday and the 2nd ref proposal was linked to May's deal, hence why many didn't back it.

There's plenty to happen yet. Currently it sounds like May may bring back a cut up 'deal' minus the political pamphlet. Doubt seeing that even coming back or succeeding as it is the legally binding treaty people have had issues with, not the promisary notes added to it.

That is dead after Friday though as far as I know, the May extension date was set on the basis of it passing by the end of 29th.

Edit: As for the government, the Cabinet were ordered to abstain on all - that really does say a lot

When he's actually presented with that responsibility? He does have a tendency to promptly run away.

Soooo being in the EU without having a say on how things work?

Edit: In Portugal you would say this would be like going from a horse to a donkey.

In Britain many of us think the same.
