I blame HIGNFY for framing him and Rees-Mogg as harmless eccentrics... they may be 'eccentric', but they're certainly not harmless...

Every time I've seen Bojo on HIGNFY he's always come across a bumbling ****wit that took severe editing to make a comprehensible show with.

My prediction: Raab will probably pick up a few votes of the fallen turning it in a three way contest between C**t, Gove and Raab to be the non BoJo candidate.
Meanwhile Saj, C*ck and Stewart will be out of the race soon.

It's not about competence or sincerity. It's about who is perceived to be able to attract the most voters and who is the most useful idiot.

The Conservatives are terrified of Farage. He is a populist; his milkshake brings the voters to the yard. So the Conservatives need their own populist, and BoJo is pretty much that. That he has no principles whatsoever is a bonus; it makes him a useful idiot.

I normally agree with you, but the Tories (and all the others, for that matter) seem to be in such a state of disarray that I'm not conviniced any party has a coherent thought in their heads except Farage. And all his thoughts are about the same colour, consistency, and scent as ******** so they don't count either.

It's all about staying in power. Which means it's all about getting the votes. BoJo is perceived as the one who will get the votes. That's all. That's the only thinking that's going on right now.

Do the Tories even have to do anything to win in a GE?

Labour has more to lose as the LibDems will pounce on the confused stance of the Hobo from the allotment
The Brexit Party will alienate a bunch of their voters whenever it gets around to unveiling its domestic agenda
Leaving the Tories as the biggest party by default

And deliberately so. He plays an idiot on TV very well, but sadly he is not an idiot in reality. An extremely unpleasant excuse for a human being who would give the Vogons a run for their money in the callous disregard for humanity race, and one who will happily implement policies that are actively harmful to almost everyone other than him (or people who give him money), but one who uses a bumbling persona to great effect.
On the other hand, the 'brexit vote effect' may hit them: everyone getting sick of their s*** votes for someone else in protest. Plus the 49% who voted to remain are off the table if they crystallise around a hard brexit position.

    Dafuq?

Stewart proposes setting up alternative parliament if Johnson prorogued parliament...

Have all those drugs the Tories took in the past finally started working?

I'd have more respect if he went 'If Boris even thinks about it... I'm taking that gold mace and smacking him 'round the head with it...'

Was only a matter of time. Surprised he's not gone for the leadership already.

Ah how quaint, a relic of the stable old times when we where on our knees begging the EU for an extension past the 12th of April:p:

If Boris f****ing Johnson becomes PM, i'm no jokes going to look into renouncing my citizenship.

It's bad enough living on a planet where someone like Trump can wear the title of "worlds most powerful man", but at least that problem was an ocean away...
