that set up sounds good but i am not sure about that monitor i would recomend the dell ultra sharp 2408Wfp
I'm a bit dubious about the monitor as well. Is there a reason you're going for a monitor/TV combo? Compromises like this are usually just that: A compromise.
Don't get Vista Home Basic, Home Premium is way better. Basic is too limited, for example no Aero in it.
Nice you made my pc shittyer so now i won't be able to max cryisis in 1920x 1200 with 8xaa *Face PLAM*
I chose monitor because it was cheap and need to save $$$ i could get good brand one but it would cost me 3000$ for pc
Bindi does some of the best hardware reviews on this site, and thus knows exactly what he is talking about. Sam Edit, just did a in game benchmark in Crysis at 1920*1200 with max graphics and 4x aa, and was getting a max of 14fps, so just goes to show you wont get what you want even if you spend on a 295, maybe get 2 260's.
Well, I'm glad you appreciate other peoples efforts Go for an expensive 295 then. It's SLI anyway, and GTX 260-216s are considerably cheaper. Considering you've asked "what is Aero", I think you're well out of your depth to be honest and don't know what you really want. You won't be able to Max Crysis at 8xAA with a single 295 anyway. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2009/01/08/nvidia-geforce-gtx-295-quad-sli-review/9 2xAA, Very High quality, DX10 = 34FPS.
Alright my bad i think ill go with 2x 285 SLI i just read up on some benchmarks and it should do fine.
+1 Don't know how you keep your cool, you must just be a damn decent chap. To the OP, just buy a ready made PC. With a **** attitude like yours, people will purposely offer you bad advice, to mess up your build, just to spite you.
Aero is basically the new GUI what Vista offers... And that's not all you'd be lacking in Vista Basic. But yeah, get the 7 RC1, will be fine until summer 2010 or something and in October 2009 you can buy the full version.
Maybe 2 x GTX 295 in SLI and a heavily overclocked i7, even then the cards would probably be limited by video memory.
