The demo works with the wheel???? Ill have to try it tonight when I finish work. Im sure I read somewhere that they didnt include support for the wheel in the demo and thats why I have not bothered to try it.

Thats what im doing tonight then. Unpacking the wheel and playing Forza 2 :)

Just had another argument with a friend who so blindly believes this game almost exactly mimics the way real cars behave.
I could honestly swear that he'd never driven a car in his life with the kind of comments that he comes with *sigh*

I played it with the steering wheel now. I have to say I find it easier to use the wheel with this game compared to PGR2. I still have not got the hang of the wheel in PGR2 but this game Ive picked it up real quick.

Its good fun and will be getting it the end of june :)

You'd need a supercomputer to realistically simulate motor racing in realtime.

Also has a very nice colour scheme editor and the car modifications are a lot more involved, it's not like in GT4 where you just stick an intercooler and turbo on, you can completely change the engine over and theres a big selection of parts to chose from apparently.

With games like this and GT, I think the car customisation and tinkering is the best bit of the game really, so you don't really get to experience very much of the game from this demo, but it's nice to find out how the game handles.

I played the demo the other day. Not bad. Actually quite fun, but I , and quite a few it seems, really noticed the blah graphics. Damage modeling is really good, sounds were amazing though.

After seeing some of the Gran Turismo HD preview vids, I guess I expected more from Forza 2. Maybe once my friend actually buys the real game some things will have improved. As of now I give it a 6/10 if the demo is anything like the full retail version.

Online is also great fun, although I've been concentrating on the career mode, won some seriously sexy machines.

EDIT: Used the wheel BTW, force feedback is pretty awesome, although my room at home isn't great for the wheel since I can't clamp it to my desk and have room for the pedals. It's very difficult to use, but I can see that if you get used to it, it will be very cool.

Jamie: Reserve and Collect at PC world is £29.99 on the standard edition if that helps :)
I bought it yesterday due to peer pressure from my clan and I'm glad I did though I prefer the FWD cars, my Corrado is now great fun to drive though I'm struggling a lot with the mid-engine series, all the car are so slippery :/

Corrado Cheesecake!! Change it to a AWD car though, it's even better :p

Eventually I won a Nissan R390 and tuned it up a load so I prawned them all when doing the flyweight and mid engine series. I'll post a couple of pics of my cars in a sec, I've not done a load to the paint job, kept 'em simple.

    EDIT: My R390

My Mugen Type-R Integra which I've tuned up to the top of class C, for the class C professional cup, amazing car.
